Christmas illuminations in Tokyo might be famous for their scale and splendor but Ojika’s Christmas lights are full of community spirit.

The lights are put up by the town hall employees. Every year they gather funds to add a new installation. Ojika’s Christmas illumination might look modest right now, but with the town’s folks dedication, it is sure to expand and turn into something impressive in the years to come.

Ojika’s Christmas illumination can be found in front of the town hall’s building with the town’s mascot Chikamaru-kun being the center piece.
