REMAINS OF FUNAMORI VILLAGE
ABOUT
Located on the south end of the island, on the steep hill facing the sea, Funamori was once home to devout Christians. Today, only the stone walls of the terraced hills remain, reminding us of the humble and faithful life led by former inhabitants of the village. The historical trail leading to Funamori lies inside the deciduous forest, making it a pleasant and rewarding walk.
