ABOUT
Oe-Ishi is the imposing rock formation behind the Okino-Kojima shrine. It is shaped like torii (traditional Shinto gate), measuring 24 meters high, 12 meters wide, and the top slab 5 x 3 meters. Whether these rocks were placed by humans or naturally formed is unknown, becoming a source of many local myths and legends.
